Here’s a poem I wrote a few days ago as I thought about the coming Singularity… I call it:<\/p>\n

\nWho used to have a face.
\nWho built and worked and wondered
\nAnd then left without a trace.<\/p>\n
\nWho suffered pain and fear,
\nAnd questioned all existence
\nFor the sake of one child’s tear.<\/p>\n
\nWho thought of nothing new
\nBecause just living was a chore
\nThat took all day to do.<\/p>\n
\nWho were not bred the gene.
\nWho dreamt the feel of symmetry
\nAnd dreamt of being seen.<\/p>\n
\nWho so young met death.
\nWhose love and faith could never fade
\nAs could our needed breath.<\/p>\n
\nAnd see us in the stars.
\nWe never thought the world was yours,
\nWe thought that it was ours.<\/p>\n
\nCan’t see the things they see.
\nYour worlds are both too far apart,
\nThere’s too much in between.<\/p>\n
\nYou’ll learn to tread the wall.
\nThere are things you cannot dream
\nAnd you will see them all.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
