It’s not too early to plan out some goals for the new year, is it? Here are my goals for 2011:<\/p>\n
1. Do good work for Animation Mentor \u2013 and graduate! I also created a special page for it, which you should see on the side menu. I’m hoping to keep that page updated with my progress. It should be updated at least once a month…<\/p>\n As I say on the page, these goals are purposefully beyond my reach (though not completely<\/em> impossible). The goal is not so much to actually reach<\/em> these goals, but to get somewhere while aiming<\/em> for them, if that makes sense.<\/p>\n
\n2. Learn to model an environment in Blender
\n3. Learn to model and animate a character in Blender
\n4. Continue trying to sell screenplay The Melody Box<\/em>
\n5. Write a \u201clistening guide\u201d companion to my album
\n6. Finish writing a novel \u2013 and finish planning another
\n7. Finish writing 15 short stories
\n8. Listen to the complete works of Mozart
\n9. Listen to 100 other pieces of classical music
\n10. Read 25 fiction books, 25 non-fiction books, and 300 short stories
\n11. Practice drawing for 100 hours
\n12. Play video games for 100 hours (I can dream, yes?)
\n13. Watch lots of movies and TV shows\u2026 to study story structure (\u201cSave the Cat\u201d style)
\n14. Spend as little money as possible… save it for a 2012 vacation!<\/p>\n
