On Wednesday, I turned 24, twice as old as I was when I was 12!\u00a0 It\u2019s like I\u2019ve lived to be 12 years old twice.\u00a0 So I now enter my 25th year of life, and this website enters it\u2019s 7th year of existence, if I\u2019m doing that math right.<\/p>\n
During my 24th year of life, I completed 9 pieces of music, opuses 46 through 54.\u00a0 That\u2019s not too bad, is it?\u00a0 Opus 53 and 54 I just wrote in the past week, and they are pretty short pieces.\u00a0 One is called \u201cAwaken\u201d and is only 1\u201930\u201d, the other is called \u201cI Will Not Go Home Again\u201d and is only 2\u201912\u201d.\u00a0 I\u2019m not sure yet whether or not I\u2019ll put them on the album.<\/p>\n
And I\u2019ve already finished opus 55 yesterday, on Thanksgiving.\u00a0 It\u2019s a 4 minute lullaby I call \u201cThe Secret Lullaby.\u201d\u00a0 Why I call it a \u201csecret\u201d lullaby is a secret, I\u2019m afraid, because it is a secret, and thus, a \u201csecret\u201d lullaby.\u00a0 It is a very big secret, though, and you can\u2019t handle the truth!\u00a0 I think I will definitely put it on the album.\u00a0 I cannot stop listening to it; I have severe \u201cpleased composer syndrome\u201d with it.<\/p>\n
We haven\u2019t celebrated my birthday yet, so I can\u2019t tell you what presents I got.\u00a0 Is 24 too old to be getting presents?\u00a0 Of course not, you should get presents forever!<\/p>\n
Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving.\u00a0 We went out to eat, and I didn\u2019t eat much, but I was stuffed.\u00a0 My appetite is about a third of what it was during high school.\u00a0 Of course, my backwards sleeping schedule could also be partly to blame; at the time of eating my body wanted to sleep, not digest.<\/p>\n
Now it\u2019s early Friday morning (about 2 AM).\u00a0 I do hope to get some cheap blu-rays or something on sale today, but I\u2019m not going anywhere early to stand in lines.\u00a0 If they run out of the good stuff, so be it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
